So, this year is projected to be a snowy one for the NW states, and where there is snow there are also power outages, impassable roads, and frozen pipes.
The question is: How do YOU prepare for this?

The little blast of arctic air that we got here over Thanksgiving week was a nice little reminder for us.
ReplyDeleteThe chains are in our van...and Steve has called the vanpool people to let them know he needs chains in the vanpool van.
Other than that, I have candles and matches where I can find them, even in the dark. - in 4 places around the house.
Plenty of food storage (with extra emphasis on the hot chocolate!).
We also have propane stoves and propane that we can use to cook on (ONLY OUTSIDE!!!!).
LOL! We just had our first blackout of the year and were able to find the flashlights easily because I had just prepped them all with fresh batteries. The candles and lighters were also right at hand... We passed this first test with flying colors.
